by Abbi Glines

Love is a journey... Rosemary Beach is the destination.

The villain of Rosemary Beach finally gets her own happy ending in the long-awaited final novel of the international bestselling new adult romance series by Abbi Glines.

Known for causing problems in Rosemary Beach, Nan, the troubled character that readers love to hate, takes centre stage as she finds love with the man she least expected.

No idea what I just read... I'm dumb-founded. First of all, there's no romance here at all! This is just a Dom/Sub relationship and Nan falls for him but it's so hard to believe. There is no connection at all. I expected the fierce, sassy, and bitchy Nan, but all I got was a weak Nan. I understand the author wanting the reader to like her now, but this isn't how it's done.

This book lacked so much depth! I mean, this is Nan's book. We are supposed to learn about her, right? Um... Yeah, that doesn't happen. If you were hoping to understand her and sympathize, you won't. The few "explanations" given were already mentioned in the series.

The male characters had me so frustrated. They were so awful! Major has a back-and-forth, push-and-pull thing going on and doesn't appreciate Nan. He "dates" her but sleeps around with anything that has a vagina and Nan knows this but she still stays with him.

Nan decides to head off to Vegas to get away from Major. Finally, I think some sense went into her brain... Yeah, no. There she meets Gannon, who is... Mysterious, to say the least. The reader doesn't really know Gannon, and Nan doesn't know Gannon at all. But yes, she sleeps with him. This was just bad. Their relationship wasn't romantic—it was physical, only sex, but Nan was "loving" Gannon. I couldn't buy any of it. I will mention one thing that left me completely stupid. After Nan returns from Vegas, Nan starts having these "dreams" about Gannon and her having sex for a few nights. Newsflash: they weren't dreams because they were actually happening. How can you not know someone is having rough sex with you and calling you his "evil bitch"? Ugh, completely disgusted here. Oh and yes, he was entering her home without her knowing.

So many other things that happened frustrated me to no end. I even put the book down and tried to understand the situation, but came up empty. I feel like the author could have written an incredible story on Nan to make the reader finally love her or understand her, but it went to waste.

Overall, I'm beyond disappointed and disgusted with this novel. I left like it degraded Nan so much.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This review was originally posted on Latte Nights Reviews.
