Playboy Pilot

by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland

From the New York Times bestselling authors of Stuck-Up Suit and Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

Money or love? Which would you choose?

You probably just answered the question in your head thinking it's an easy decision. For me, it's not. Did I mention it's a lot of money? A hell of a lot. I needed to go far away to think it through.

As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation. Then, he left. I thought I’d never see him again. But fate had other plans.

Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight. But the bigger surprise was the adventure that followed after the plane landed.

Even though our connection was magnetic, I knew it was only temporary. He would give me tickets, and I would follow him around the world to exotic places.

I was addicted. Nothing else mattered anymore. And I was going to get hurt. Because a part of me wanted to be the one to finally ground the playboy pilot. At the very least, he was taking me on a thrilling ride.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

I'm always anxiously waiting for this author duo's releases. They have given us some great couples and a fainting pet goat, so I jumped all over this book the moment it hit my kindle.

Kendall and Carter meet in an airport bar. Kendall is contemplating a very important life decision and Carter is just waiting for his flight. That chance meeting changes everything for these two.

Carter gives Kendall the safety net to take some time to figure out if she's going to bend to her grandfather and mother's whims in order to get millions of dollars. She follows him on his flights around the world, exploring places she's never been and soaking up a man who has opened her eyes. Kendall was starved for attention and Carter gives her what she needs: as a caring person and a friend before lover. He helped her realize she was more than a breeding machine and could dictate the direction her life takes. She needed that. Even when things turned bleak, it was Carter who influenced her choice of jobs.

Carter's immediate attraction to Kendall floored him. But he never ran away from it. Despite his past (and the flight attendants that would let him forget it) he wanted to explore what was happening with Kendall. He was scared of his feelings and his reaction to her, but he wanted it. I loved who Carter was. He unwavering support of people and his huge heart. It's not hard to understand why Kendall fell so hard for him.

This couple has their issues and getting to their HEA puts them through the ringer, but it's was Carter's faith in his feelings for Kendall and her that had me pulling for him in the end.
