My second 5 star read for the week, and my first reread for the year - one of my absolute favourite classics and indeed one of my favourite books of all times.  I haven't read this for at least 10 years and I have no idea why I've waited so long to reread this.  I'm trash for hate to love tropes, of which there is no finer example, and the wit of the characters is sublime.

Rosamund Pike's narration was brilliant and entertaining (she played Jane Bennett in the Keira Knightley film so she's very familiar with the story).  She brought each of the characters to life in a wonderfully unique manner and I found myself laughing and fuming along with the story - kind of awkward when you're listening on the train... I adored this and I'm in such a mood to binge the BBC miniseries right now - 5 stars.
