Typical romantic suspense. Relationship happens fast with little substance. Lots of action and drama. I haven't read the other books in the series and did feel slightly lost as to who everyone was. Not entirely predictable - I didn't pick the guilty party. I totally thought it was Alan. Some of their relationship developed oddly - Ava refers to Mark as her best friend but she went away and didn't actually contact him or speak to him in that time? Bit of an oversight in the plot. Ava seemed an alright character, I liked that she actually thought about things before putting herself in danger. When she gets the text "from Mark" to meet her alone and she goes with others - people who have guns. I liked the heroine thinking for once. Anyway, fast easy read.
