Lani Lynn Vale is the one author where I've started a few of her books out of order in a series like Lord Have Mercy. I had no idea this was book 2 in the Southern Gentleman series, but thankfully it's a standalone, so you don't have to read the previous book.

Flint and Camryn are an absolute riot! I seriously could not get enough of these two, not only their banter, but their inner turmoil about one another. I can't say that I quite understood the loathing they had for each other in the beginning, when it was clearly attraction. But it just made their story much more memorable
