Less fantastical and darker than "Migrations." Be prepared for much violence and lies that compound bad situations. Annoyingly still perpetuates the debunked premise of "alphas" in the wolf pack, whilst graphically undermining the premise of "alpha males" in human packs. I could have done with much less of the human drama that runs alongside the wolf rewilding, but isn't it always that way, that people are more disappointing than nature?
Incidentally, wolf rewilding is something being seriously discussed now in Scotland, about two decades after a successful pilot program with ... wait for it ... beavers. I *totally* would have read a novel about beaver rewilding in in Scotland.
