L.M. Halloran is one of my favorite authors, so I was very excited to get my hands on this book. Plus, I really liked Finn in her Illusions Duet. However, as I keep whining in every review about, I am currently in a HUGE book funk, so I was also nervous that this funk would affect my feelings for this book.

Well, I am happy to report that I enjoyed this one a lot. Maybe not quite as much as some of her other books. I thought this one was surprisingly tame and vanilla. But it was a well-written and well-paced book. The plot kept me engaged. The little "twist" took me completely by surprise. There was no OW or OM drama. It had a small, but interesting cast of secondary characters. Both Finn and Callisto were likable, and it wrapped up in an "OK" happy for now.

Two thumbs up from yours truly.
