Ahhh, one of my favorite author duos are back at it again with the 4th (how fitting) book in Mavericks Tackle Love! And what a pretty funny read it turned out to be. There were things here and there that kept me from really loving it, but it was still thoroughly an enjoyable read.

Man, if I was ever on the hunt for first impression stories, Leo and Gemma would probably have the most memorable. That scene goes down as one of my favorites because it was just absolutely hilarious. I can't even imagine being in a situation like that. I thought Gemma handled it as best as she could and it was adorable when Leo tried to not make a fuss about it. That one time was enough for the both of them leaving some kind of impression, but it wouldn't be until some time later, they'd meet again ... during yet another interesting situation.

Nonna has got to be one of my favorite characters in this book, she's just a gem! And I'm totally down with her little business that she's running out of her house. Yet another scenario that makes for more hilarious stories, trust me, you'll love it!

I thought Leo and Gemma were cute together! I wished there was more romance between them in the book and it all seemed to progress a lot quicker than I'd hope. I guess it was fitting (maybe) since it's a really quick read. The plot did seem a little bit too choppy and revealing Gemma's passion seemed like it was just randomly dropped into the book. I honestly didn't see it coming and was hoping to learn more about it. Leo does have a heart of gold, but I felt like he was pushing things too hard when it came to Gemma's passion. I found it irritating and at that point in their relationship, it was too much, too soon. I was hoping they would have just kept it very light-hearted read with a lot of funny moments.

Overall, it was still pretty enjoyable read. I was just hoping for a little bit more all around. It wasn't my favorite book of theirs, but I'm definitely looking forward to the next book they release!
