A beautiful continuation of [b:A Voice in the Wind|95617|A Voice in the Wind (Mark of the Lion, #1)|Francine Rivers|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1459567327s/95617.jpg|883913], I suppose it could stand on it's own but why would you want it too? The characters are so well developed, have such a rich history and depth in their relationship that while the narrative could stand alone you would miss so much of them.

I love the way [a:Francine Rivers|6492|Francine Rivers|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1358956670p2/6492.jpg] writes. I love how she draws you into the story through the characters, through their thoughts and fears and doubts and hopes. Her world is so fantastically alive it feels like actual history and stays with you long after you've finished reading.
