This book stormed into my house, punched me in the face several times, reaches into my chest and tore out my heart. And I loved every second of it. (That makes me sound really weird but seriously. The satisfaction of all the angst was real)

The book takes place over a 24 hour period, but at no point did I feel like it was rushed or underdeveloped. Even though in any other circumstance, the love subplot would be considered instalove, but it felt like Matteo and Rufus had known each other forever.

And then there's the ending. What happens is not exactly a spoiler, given the title and blurb, but it still left me feeling like the surprised Pikachu meme. I almost cried on a full plane, and I never cry over books.

TL;DR: if you like angst, read this book. If you love pacing, read this book. If you want a book full of layers and nuances, read this book. That is all.
