I can't begin to tell you how much I adored Crashing the A-List by Summer Heacock! I originally requested it because it was a contemporary romance and I just don't have enough of that in my life. The great news is I got SO much more than that!

For me the best part of Crashing the A-List is that it was like watching the best rom com ever filmed. I can't tell you how much I loved this book but I'm going to try. First off, Clara is such a sympathetic heroine. She curses like a sailor and I really felt we could have been BFFs.

Caspian was really kind of a jerk. Basically imagine Freddie Prinze Jr playing Zach from She's All That except British. (At least in my head.) The big difference is that Zach was a d-bag from the start and needed to redeem himself but Caspian kind of gets dragged into this mess and while he is justified in being angry, he's still kind of a jerk.

Watching these two trying to negotiate around the awkward situation they found themselves in was an experience. I laughed, I cried (like ugly went to the bathroom so I would't wake my husband from a deep sleep kind of cry), and my heart practically burst from happiness. I was recommending this book at 18%. Kind of a risky move with that much still left in the book but I had a feeling. And, readers, I was right about it.

If you need a laugh or if you need to get lost in a romantic comedy because this world kinda sucks sometimes, I can't recommend Crashing the A-List by Summer Heacock enough. It was brilliantly done and I'm so glad there is another book in Heacock's backlist!
