by Marjorie Dennis Murray

The neighborhood witch is getting ready for the biggest night of the year! Helping her are Ogre and Olaf and all of their friends-zombies, ghosts, and mummies. But will trick-or-treaters come to the party? Or will the witch and her monster friends have to eat all the creepy-crawly treats by themselves? A tour de force for the nationally bestselling artist Brandon Dorman, who is a marvelous visual storyteller, says Publishers Weekly. The creatures of Halloween have never been so stunning. A perfect Halloween treat for brave hearts and scaredy-cats alike!

While nearly too scary with plenty of halloween gouls and more this is a neat read to add to the seasonal stack with a poetry akin to "the night before Christmas". It pleasing the ears and humorous to the right audience. My girls won't read ot alone, but they'll gladly snuggle up and read it aloud with me. The illustrations are amusing and full of hints to see as well.
