Ok. Deep breaths. This book is quite the little gem. Quietly sitting in the Amazon store- a freebie that I jumped on. This was a departure from the more steamy but no less (if not more) romantic books I've read.
Samuel and Josie met as kids and fell in love over a period of 10 years or so. They fell in love through religion, literature, and music. The writing just flows, the author is so good with all aspects of this story. Religion was discussed but only as it was a part of the community (Mormon) but it was not heavy handed- it flowed well with the discussion of Navajo myths and legends.
Oh and there were great letters that Samuel and Josie wrote to each other....
I really wish I had done a better job of highlighting my favorite passages and highlights because there were parts that I read over and over.

I hope that book can be published in other formats, as far as I know, it is only available at Amazon.
