I really wanted to love this book. Honestly it was good. It was well written, the main character was hilarious and I loved the friendship between Sophie and Hannah. My main problem is that I love the myth of Spring and Hades and Persephone. And this wasn't a faithful retelling. While a decent book in it's own right the inclusion of Kai kind of ruined it for me. I didn't realise before I started reading that Kai and Hades are two different characters. If the book had of removed the Hades/Persephone connection it would have been great but because it tries so hard to connect this story to that I just couldn't bring myself to love it.
