Queen Move is a childhood besties and reunion romance trope. Kimba and Ezra are two wonderful characters, who since very young have a unique bond. Ms. Ryan writes a story which takes you from the beginning of their lives, through the highs and lows of their youth, a journey sharing very special moments, first love, then torn apart due to unexpected events during their teens.
Their paths cross again as adults, but circumstances are different. The flame of their friendship and love never died, and when they see each other after so many years, they can't deny how they feel about each other and do everything they can to get back together. But of course it isn't that easy. Kimba has priorities to consider, and so does Erza. There are a some obstacles, too. It will take time.
I loved every single page of this story. There's diversity in cultures, beliefs, a beautiful relationship between Kimba and Ezra's families, which I loved. Also, great friendships, sense of community, legacies, and a beautiful and passionate romance, which was off the charts. It's definitely on the steamy side. But don't let that stop you from reading Queen Move if you're sensitive to passionate love scenes. You'll miss out an a fantastic story.
I feel as if Kennedy Ryan's storytelling is a category of its own. Her stories have depth, drama, diversity, romance, family bonds and values. They're well paced and have everything to keep you engaged from beginning to end. I swooned, laughed, cried and swooned some more, and loved their happily ever after. Ms. Ryan is one of my top favorite authors. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Queen Move to other readers.
