Oh boy. I had read a book by this author before and had not enjoyed it, but I still wanted to give this one a try because I want to learn more about mythologies. Let me tell you – if you want to learn about mythologies, don’t pick up these books. There were a lot of repeats and there was at least one chapter where the author talked about OTHER mythologies/religions instead of the Mayan one. I learned more from a fictional book featuring Mayan Gods than I learned from this book.
