  • Bearing His Touch by Eve Langlais: This was my first experience with author. She delivered a bear-shifter romantic suspense and I'd like to try a longer story by her. While the mating bond allowed for a quick romance to develop, the author added in lots of action, suspense and humor in the form of a large bear family. Becka is disoriented and on the run from her kidnapper.  Stavros is a private eye and former police detective who cannot stop himself from helping this damsel in distress. This was fun and I'd be interested in seeing what a full-length novel by this author delivered. Expect humor, a little sexy time and plenty of action 3.5 cups of coffee

  • Fake Mated to the Wolf by Milly Taiden: This wasn't my first experience with this author, but unfortunately while this had more depth than my first experience, it didn't feel natural from the baby, this and baby that to the over the top action on the hero's part.  I loved the premise, suspense angle and some of the secondary characters, but nope, not for me. Plus the hero's name was Hawke Hawke. I thought it was an error in the ARC, but it was consistent throughout. How weird is that? 2 cups of coffee

  • The Witch, The Werewolf and The Waitress by Kate Baxter: This was by far my favorite story! Baxter captured me from the onset. I loved the little last stop dinner. Ellie's story, witchcraft and a handsome shifter soon held me spellbound. The flow, chemistry and world felt right. This is a pack I would gladly revisit in a full-length novel or series. 4.5 cups of coffee
