Which it was. Of course. I mean, come on. It's Tessa Dare. How could it not?
What I loved most about this romance, I think, is that even though Colin and Minerva seemed so different and wrong for each other, they were very, very right. They were precisely what they needed: Colin to draw Minerva out, and Minerva to understand Colin in a way no one else could.
I wasn't even sure I'd like Colin, given his tendency to be rake. (Though he was the cause for the sheep bombing in book 1 and that makes me laugh.) But as I suspected, he was a lot more layered than meets the eye.
And Minerva. With her love of rocks and nose firmly in a book. Watching her blossom throughout the book and become the strong, confident woman she'd always been inside was one of my favorite parts. She was brave. And she went for what she wanted, damn the consequences.
A Week to Be Wicked is the perfect follow-up to A Night to Surrender. Loved all the craziness that happened on the road... and the passion. Spindle Cove may be my favorite Tessa Dare series yet.
