I am a fan of this series, and now it has that important job of filling the void Abbi Glines left when Rosemary Beach and Sea Breeze ended. I never watched daytime soap operas, but I guess I would have loved them, because books like this are my guilty pleasure. I especially love to read books like this, after a heavy or sad book, or when the world is just getting to me. They are fairly light, a little over the top in that soapy way, and I know I will get my HEA.
With that said, I ate up this book, and it produced many smiles. Country Kisses unites Cade, the rich boy from the city, with Cassidy, the sweet southern belle with a facial disfigurement. Cade had been burned by someone he thought he loved, and had sworn off meaningful relationships. Cassidy had lived most of her life scarred, and never quite "seen" by anyone. She thought true love was not a possibility for her.
These two were great together. Moore did a great job unfolding that budding relationship. Taking it from one of convince to one of substance. I found myself sometimes frustrated with Cassidy, but I also empathized with her, and sort of understood why she did the things she did. It was fun to have all our previous couples so present in the story too. I am a HUGE fan of companion novels for this very reason. Getting to catch up with them, and to be able to peek what happened next is of the utmost importance for me, and Moore gave me so much, well, more than I expected. (thank you!)

Overall: Fun, light, sweet, hot, with just the right amount of drama for me.
