So where do I begin? ๐ Honestly, I haven't been this ๐ ธ๐ ผ๐ ฟ๐๐ ด๐๐๐ ด๐ ณ with a debut book in a very ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ time. ๐๐ The writing was ๐น๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ท๐ธ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ท๐ช๐ต. ๐ It was well paced. ๐ It is quite a long book (๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ) but I never got ๐ ๐ ๐ ก๐ ๐ or felt the need to skim. ๐ The plot was โตโฑคโณโฑซษ engaging. ๐ There was Aฬฝอ LฬฝอOฬฝอTฬฝอ going on in this book. ๐ Lies โ Sex ๐ฅ ๐ ฑ๐ ด๐๐๐ ฐ๐๐ ฐ๐ ป ๐ Cheating ๐ Talk of racism ๐ สสสษษส ๐ช Drugs ๐ Forgiveness ๐ A fight for a lฬณeฬณgฬณaฬณcฬณyฬณ ๐ค Both the plot and characters were just so ๐ ฆ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ฅ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ and intriguing. ๐ You could tell the author did her homeworkโ
Which brings me to the โตโฑงโณโฑคโณโตโฎษโฑคโด themselves. ๐ซ As with the plot there is Aฬฝอ LฬฝอOฬฝอTฬฝอ going on here with multiple different characters. ๐ The main ๐ป๐ธ๐ถ๐ช๐ท๐ฌ๐ฎ centers on ๐๐ พ๐ ฟ๐ ท๐ ธ๐ ด and ๐ ฐ๐๐๐ ธ๐ ฒ๐๐ ๐ Both flawed. Both angry. ๐ Both hurt. ๐ Yet both SO pโฅeโฅrโฅfโฅeโฅcโฅt for each other that you can't help but route for them. ๐ Along for the ride are ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ช๐ต secondary characters. ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค Some you'll love. ๐ Some you'll hate. ๐ Some remain a mystery. โ A couple will feature in the next book (and I have โฑซษโฑคร idea how this author will get me to like either of them). ๐ Last, this was all wrapped up with a satisfying ending for ๐๐ พ๐ ฟ๐ ท๐ ธ๐ ด and ๐ ฐ๐๐๐ ธ๐ ฒ๐๐, but the overall story will ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ into book two. ๐ And you can bet you ๐ ๐ ข๐ ข this reader will be first in line to get her grubby little hands on it! ๐
