I received an advanced/review copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content and honesty of my review.

Aside from being slightly annoyed by the stereotypical homeschooled kid that is our heroine--naive, socially awkward, doesn't know how to relate to others--I greatly enjoyed this book. For starters, the growth in Mallory is a wonderful thing. She begins as someone who is immature and naive in many ways, and by the end of the book, she's matured and learned some extremely important lessons that I found quite admirable.

Troy, while being aloof and kind of a jerk at the beginning, becomes totally swoon-worthy and is easily one of my favorite book boyfriends now. I love the relationship that develops between the two and the angsty, slow burn buildup was absolutely perfect.
