The reader follows Lottie, a super duper famous (and fucking shallow) blogger as she deals with day to day life in extremely melodramatic ways. It's all about her. She's has "friends" who are just as shallow as her, but like her green hair don't care - I just didn't care about any of them.
At all.
So we are stuck following that nonsense for a while, until Lottie meets a super hip stranger (AKA her new best friend foreva). And the story progresses from vapidness to slightly mysterious.
Even when the insane part of the story happen, since I didn't like Lottie, I just didn't care about her "struggles".
At the end of the day, she's an adult who should be doing adult things instead of acting like a teenager. It's just nonsense. I hate when drama seems unnecessary because the MC is too stupid to own up to it, even when the consequences seem dire. They never are.
So, why am I giving this three stars? The ending is good enough to make me want to continue the story. The art, while disgusting, is so fucking awesome, and Lottie became slightly more bearable in the last ten pages as a MC. The rest of the secondary characters are shit though.
