Soulless: The Manga, Vol. 2 by Gail Carriger

Soulless: The Manga, Vol. 2 (Parasol Protectorate: Manga, #2)

by Gail Carriger

Settling into her new life as the Lady Woolsey, Alexia finds her days quite challenging. Whether it is a regiment of supernatural soldiers camped out on her front lawn or the demands of being the Queen's 'muhjah,' there never seems to be a want of new hurdles to overcome. But when stories of supernaturals rendered normal by some unknown force begin cropping up, Alexia has a rather serious mystery on her hands. Can she root out the cause of this phenomenon, which smacks of some larger plot at work?

I've put off reading this for whatever unknown reason, but finally decided to tackle it because I'm cleaning off my shelves yet again.
This was quite the continuation! Admittedly, I haven't read the second actual novel yet and I'm not likely to do so anytime soon, so I can't say how true to those books it actually is. However, I really enjoyed it! The art is gorgeous and really suits the story, I particularly like seeing Ivy's ridiculously horrible hats.
The ending is rather abrupt though and I'm kind of miffed with the way it turned out, so I'll probably end up borrowing the next manga to see if that particularly irritation is smoothed out.
