Runes (Runes, #1)

by Ednah Walters

Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.

Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.

Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about him. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only is she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life

what seriously? That what i said at the end of the book when i finished late last night. Here what i have to say now that i had time to digest it.

Wow this story had me by the first few pages and did not let go tell the very end. It was imaginative and kept me guessing trying to decipher the clues and still did not figure it out. The mythology entwined throughout the read will certainly have you eager to do a little research of your own. As confused as Raine was Im sure this world will appeal and draw you in. The cliff hanger at the very end was totally out of the blue and did exactly what all good cliff hangers should get me to read the next book. Loved it want more yes i do.
