Kimberly Derting's writing style is really not for me. I remember it took me about 3/4th of the way into the Pledge to really get into it. This book was just boring. I didn't like the flip in characters every some-odd chapters and the pace is too slow. Will read The Offering to see how everything plays out but definitely not invested in this story due to the writing.
