The Heat Is on

I am currently on a Shalvis binge and loving it. Her books are so fun and sexy, and I never fail to fall in love with her characters.

Our heroine, Bella is a woman with no roots. She does a dating club stint, 8 dates in 8 days. Her 8th date, aka tall, dark, and sexy is a one night stand Bella does not regret, as she plans to never see him again, right? Wrong! The next day, Bella discovers the body of one of her 8 dates, and tall, dark, and sexy, aka Jacob, is the detective on the scene.

The two are combustible together. The banter is fun and sexy, and Bella is quite hilarious. I sort of the liked the murder mystery that was stuck in there, but it could not outshine the romance. I throughly enjoyed the interactions between Jacob and his brothers, and I liked that extra family element.

As always, Shalvis gave me a fun and sexy romance with an awesome heroine and a swoony hero.
