This was a quick read and I really enjoyed it. Only thing that brought down the rating was the confusing (to me) addition of Peter being transgender. I feel like that aspect of the book wasn't as developed or addressed as it should be. It's touched on in the ending of the novel as well as the beginning then confusingly sprinkled throughout in flashbacks.

That part aside I enjoyed it, the author painted a vivid and more darker Neverland. Especially the fairies! They were more a of a bug human hybrid with intricate wings then the pure human fairies of the novel or movies. I loved the fairies and the darkness of Neverland.

I also had a hard time picturing the characters in my head, what they looked like. I felt like they could have been given better physical descriptions.

I wish the book had been longer! Or I hope the author will continue the story in the real world.
