The Pecker Briefs is book 7 in the Legal Affairs series and can either be read as part of the series or as a standalone.

Ford is a partner and lawyer at Knight and Payne and has always been a player, never settling down in a relationship. He loves his sports and women. This is until a case has him rethinking his way of life.

Viveka was a model who emancipated from her mother and became an animal rights lawyer who works in a seedy area of town. She helps people who can not afford the big names. When she takes on a case to protect a woodpecker, she does not expect to meet a man who changes everything in her.

Ford and Viveka are a great couple together and I enjoyed their back and forth with each other.

I recommend this book and give it 4 maple leafs.
