The Beginner's Bible Jesus and His Friends by

The Beginner's Bible Jesus and His Friends (I Can Read! / The Beginner's Bible) (The Beginner's Bible) (I Can Read! / The Beginner's Bible / !Yo se leer!)

In the beginning, the world is perfect. Everyone is happy.

But then a bad thing happens. Will it stay this way forever?

This My First I Can Read! book, with basic language, word repetition, and great illustrations, is perfect for shared reading with a child. It aligns with guided reading level E and will be of interest to children Pre-K to 2nd grade.

After enjoying the [b:Animal Adventures Collection|8588397|Animal Adventures Collection (Beginner's BibleĀ®, The)|Mission City Press Inc.|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1328017269s/8588397.jpg|13457837] board books set so much I knew I needed to check out the actual [b:The Beginner's Bible: Timeless Children's Stories|70293|The Beginner's Bible Timeless Children's Stories|Kelly Pulley|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1170725875s/70293.jpg|68110]. I have to tell you I am very pleased. Oh, now that I remember we also have an eBook [b:Very First Easter|10277934|Very First Easter|Kelly Pulley|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1302286644s/10277934.jpg|10771969] and while in those pages Jesus is the only person with a pointed nose and everyone else is very rounded... I wondered at the time if that was meant to make him visually stand out, but after reading the full Bible version I see he is not alone in that anatomical feature.

The illustrations are vibrant with color and friendly faces all prepared to help children learn the full Gospel message from Creation to John's Revelation. The text is great too. Using full fun descriptive words, kids and parents alike can get excited about reading this one aloud. There is a reason why over five million copies have sold. From the great, and now familiar, images and a good size font I am very excited to use this to read to and teach my daughter to read. Each story has a title and scripture reference which I think helps to guide the child and will allow for further depth into a story as she grows. As for me, definitely on the keeper shelf.

They also have a very neat website with interesting things for parents and teachers. I just might have to spend some time there. Oh, and while my edition is a great size hardcover, the Bible is now available in eBook format - so no excuses on shelf space or portability!
