MEANT FOR ME is an enthralling, intense story that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Mason is a former mixed martial arts fighter who now works as a policeman. He’s thrust back into the fighting world when he finds out his best friend has been murdered. Someone is brutally killing fighters and leaving no clues and Mason desperately wants to find them before they kill someone else. Mason decides to go undercover as a fighter hoping to discover who murdered his best friend, who was trying to make a name for himself in the fighting world. I was chewing my fingernails reading this story, because I was never sure who the bad guys were and constantly worried Mason would be their next target.
Mason and Claire have known each other for years and there’s always been an attraction simmering between them, but Mason prefers to keep his distance. Mason is a womanizer and afraid of commitment, but he has never been able to forget Claire. Claire helps Mason work on the case and as they try to discover who the killer is, their relationship heats up. Mason is all alpha male, but also a wonderful caring person and I love how he treats Claire. I found it easy to like both Mason and Claire because they are both loyal, trustworthy people trying to do the right thing. Claire cares about Mason and supports him in any way she can. What a wild ride.
