The Emerald Sea (Glittering Court, #3)

by Richelle Mead

Meet Tamsin, the Glittering Court’s hard-angled emerald. Her outsized aspirations make her a fierce competitor, rising to the top of the ranks. But when the ship she boards for the New World is tragically lost at sea, she is quite literally thrown off-course.

I was eager to read Tamsin's book. With all the bits we learned about her in the previous two books, I was ready to get her full story from her POV, and I was really pleased with the choices Mead made for this character.

One of the things I liked about the series as a whole, was how the stories run concurrently, but are not repetitive. Each successive book filled in a few gaps, and now the full picture came to light. I liked the way all the pieces fell together, and I have to commend Mead on how well she made these stories unfold and fit together.

I will admit, that I guessed Tamsin's motivation to join the court back in book one, but I still enjoyed getting all the details. Tamsin was such a force to reckon with this whole series, and it was fantastic seeing her shining in all these different situations. I also think she got the best hero of the bunch. My goodness, I adored them together. I think I even shed a tear or two, when they were all lovey-dovey-mushy.

Overall: A great ending for a series I really enjoyed.
