I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Oh Man! Foster fulfilled all of my expectations and more in this her latest novel featuring the Braden family. Then Came Love, delivered an emotional tale about not settling for less than one deserves.

SUMMARY

Eight months ago, renowned wedding gown designer Jaxon Braden met his soul mate. However, there was a major problem: she was to marry someone else. He knew he should get her out of his thoughts, but that was easier said than done. The beautiful Jordan Lawler had somehow wormed her way into his heart. The situation took a major turn when she hired him to design her wedding gown. The right thing to do was to let his sister do the job, but he couldn’t walk away. Soon they would find themselves in a position where feelings would intensify and passion ignites.

I had some reservations about Jaxon and Jordan’s story because of Jordan’s engaged status at the beginning. But my worries were for naught. Foster did a bang-up job with their story. Have no fear, no cheating occurred between the protagonists. A line in the sand was drawn and never once did they cross it, despite their growing feelings for each other.

Be still my beating heart. All of Foster’s heroes hold a special place in my heart. Now Jaxon is on that list. So far, he is my favourite Braden hero. The perfect embodiment of the following adjectives: caring, supportive, passionate, protective and affectionate. He showed how a woman should be treated by a man who truly loves her. He demonstrated these traits even after he was relegated to the friend zone. Flirtations occurred, but he never crossed the line.

Foster’s heroines are relatable, and Jordan was no exception. Her experiences led to her current insecurities. Insecurities, which led to her settling with her fiancée's unacceptable behaviour. Jaxon showed her she deserved so much more. It took her a while to recognise this fact, but when she did, she took a major step, which showcased her courage. A step which would change her life in the best way imaginable. By now you may wonder about Jordan’s finance. I certainly wouldn’t wish him on my enemy. What she saw in him, I cannot tell.

I enjoyed the slow burn, swoon worthy romance which developed between our couple. Their relationship, which grew from friends to lovers was chock-full of emotions. it will make you laugh and cry, while you root for this awesome couple. The side story involving Jordan’s family will break your heart, then slowly bring you to a place of healing.

Then Came Love delivered a well-written romance. It gives you hope and demonstrates that one should never settle for less than they deserve.
