I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Tales of Willow Valley by Linda Weaver Clarke is a cool way to use one's family's history for some great stories.

Will each story have a happily ever after?

The Stories

The Light at the End of the Tunnel is about Thomas and Hannah and helping Hannah's hot chocolate business thrive. This story is adorable and I love how it ends. Hannah is British, and she comes to America for a new life and loses a lot. Her daughter Sarah is deaf from the boat ride over to America. They each do a lot together which makes it a nice story. Leave or Perish is a great story about a young lady protecting what is hers in the new world. Serenity gets a new love interest in the process of that happening. Good things happen in this short story.

A Broom in her Hand is a great continuation story from Leave or Perish and it's a fantastic one. William is the male lead in this story and he is all about helping out Laura who is an interesting character. I loved both of them as well. Deception is a wonderful story about a young lady named Pauline who is trying to figure out a way to stop the bank from taking her house. Peter is a bodyguard who is in love with Pauline. These two are fabulous, and I loved how this story played out.

A Cry for Help is our last story. This one is about a couple that were best friends when they were little. They get pushed together by the girl's mom to help an African-American family go south to the north. It's an interesting new story and I like it.

Four Stars

Tales of Willow Valley by Linda Weaver Clarke is a wonderful book with five short stories that take a bit of her family's history and spins each one into a different story. Each of the five stories is entertaining, and it's interesting how Ms. Clarke changed some parts of her family's history to make it work for her fictional town of Willow Valley. Ms. Clarke does a marvelous job writing this one. I am giving it four stars and recommending it to anyone that likes to read historical romances.
