So far we have learned where Kal-El came from ([b:Man of Steel: The Fate of Krypton|17151890|Man of Steel The Fate of Krypton|John Sazaklis|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1362957786s/17151890.jpg|24784645]), who his biggest enemies are ([b:Man of Steel: Superman Saves Smallville|17151892|Man of Steel Superman Saves Smallville|John Sazaklis|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1362956811s/17151892.jpg|23560263]), and how he became the boy and then man Clark Ken as well as Superman ([b:Man of Steel: Superman's Superpowers|17177247|Man of Steel Superman's Superpowers|Lucy Rosen|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1362955573s/17177247.jpg|23610120]). Convincing young readers to pick a book is not always a piece of cake and having a high interest early reader is important. Superman is a great theme and interest catcher.

Friends and Foes is a different illustrator than the other books, however the illustrations hop off the page. This early reader has it all on the Man of Steel from Krypton to Smallville through school and learning who he is and what he is capable of to beyond everyday Superman saves and fighting Zod. This is the whole of Superman in a brief but interesting story.

Thanks to HC.
