This series is interesting, even while I can’t say with complete honestly that I’m really into it. It’s not that I’m not…more like I’m not sure? I want to keep reading it though; if nothing else than to figure out how much of this is curiosity versus interest.
This issue does have a couple of heavier moments, including a couple of scenes that might upset readers. There’s a lot of implied and shown violence. Considering the world the main characters are diving into it makes sense…but I figured I should say something anyway.
I do feel like there are two different stories going on simultaneously. Maybe that’s why I’m having trouble telling how I feel about the series? Because I think I love one of the plots, while the jury is still out on the other. I assume that eventually the two plots will converge (and I even have a theory for how that’ll happen), but for now they’re doing a decent job of standing alone.
