I admit - I wanted to read this book solely because the idea of dueling vampire dating services sounded absolutely hilarious. And, to a large extent, this book delivered. This is the third in the Bite Nights series, and I’ve only read about 75% of the first book, so there were times I felt a bit lost. This would probably have worked a lot better if I’d read the other two first, but unfortunately the flu combined with library hold times ruined those plans! I still intend to go back and read the series in order, so I’ll update my review then.

This was a delightfully fun hate-to-love romance, filled with sexy, snarky banter between vampires Cat and Ronin. I enjoyed the initial meetings between the two, but as the book progressed, the pacing got a lot more uneven, and it felt like they were rehashing the same things over and over. Also, while I enjoyed the ending, it felt rushed to me.

With all that said, it was still a pretty entertaining read, especially the delightful banter, and I’m looking forward to going back to the beginning of the series!
