This was pretty much a very elaborate way of saying that your character needs to develop in some way throughout the story. I'm never hugely impressed with writing books that adhere so strictly to the three-act structure. In my opinion many three-act stories are rather stilted and uninteresting - I barely watch any Hollywood movies anymore because that structure has become so formulaic. This short text gives some food for thought, but isn't all that substantial and it has a tendency towards grand claims without any actual sources or data ("do this and readers will LOVE your writing!" is not good research).
