My take on this book: For Life or Until by Anne Garboczi Evans this is my second book by this author and it’s a good book once you got into it. This book had a very slow start in my opinion and that’s why it took me quite a while to read it.

What I like about this book is that these characters, much like in Plum Pudding Bride, the characters are three-dimensional and I felt like I was actually there with the characters. Everything about this book seemed so real and it also seemed like Mrs. Garboczi Evans took her time and researched the era as best as she could for everything that she needed to do to make the book seem real enough for her readers. Ness, is the main character, starts off the book as an eighteen-year-old girl wanting to win the heart of her childhood friend. Instead, she ends up doing something completely different than what a Celt should do back in that time. Aquilis, is another main character, I think he’s about one or two years older than Ness when they first met and he has been a bit preoccupied throughout the book but he makes it right in the end of the book.

What I didn’t like about the book is that yeah Ness is a Celt and she is used to the men being around and living off the land that she had to have known at some point that she would have to go to Rome or even more that Aquilis would be very busy. Except I also get that she wants to still live off the land and have her children do the same things that she is used to. Aquilis, though, should have also known that Ness would have still wanted the land and should have listened to what she wanted instead of always doing what he wanted even though he thought it was helping out the Roman Empire.

For Life or Until by Anne Garboczi Evans is a good book even though it took me a long time to get it finished. I am giving this book 3 stars because of that and I will recommended this book to anyone that is interested in this book.
