A wee bit silly but still good for a laugh...

To be honest, I read the blurb for Fluffy yonky donks ago and thought it seemed a little too OTT to be believable. I put off reading it but I kept being drawn back to the cover. Time and time again, I'd catch a glimpse of the cover, read the blurb, and be reminded that it seemed a little too...fluffy. Well, the other day, it caught my eye AGAIN but this time I succumbed to the lure of a bit of a fluffy read.

I've been reading for a lot of years and even dabbled in a wee bit of erotic romances too. Even with this knowledge, I know I am completely naive when it comes to terminology. I had no idea what a "fluffer" was. Now I know, but I think I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing. I was goofy grinning (and admittedly blushing) at the beginning of the book when poor Malory realised that a "fluffer" wasn't what she thought it was. For a fairly tame story (no whips or chains in this love story) I became quite educated in some of the goings-on of the porn industry.

Fluffy was funny, sweet and gave me just the right amount of heartache turning into heartwarming, that I adore in my romance reads. Mallory is extremely smart, a little ditzy and extremely unlucky in love. Her life is a wee bit of a mess and she's getting desperate trying to find a job. Of course, her high school crush had to come back into her life when she's at her worst.

Will is the perfect kind of hero, smart, sweet and extremely sexy. I absolutely loved that he loved and appreciated Mallory's brain just as much as her body. Will's greatest appeal was in the growth we get to witness when he realises his old high school "friends" are shallow and quite horrible. It's not long before the high school hero becomes just a normal bloke looking for a connection with a real woman. He was just so bloody perfect.

I enjoyed listening to Fluffy and thought the narrator did a great job. I think I would have enjoyed it more if we had been given alternate POV's and a male narrator reading his parts. I've only recently been introduced to dual-narrations and I really love it.

If you're looking for a bit of a laugh and don't mind it being a little OTT, I highly recommend giving Fluffy a try.
