Unfairest of Them All by Shannon Hale

Unfairest of Them All (Ever After High, #2)

by Shannon Hale

It's the aftermath of Legacy Day, the day when the students at Ever After High are supposed to pledge to follow in their fairytale parents' footsteps, and everyone is in a huff and a puff! Raven Queen, daughter of the Evil Queen, has refused to sign the Storybook of Legends, rejecting her story - and putting everyone else's in jeopardy.

The Royal Apple White doesn't want to think Raven is being a rebellious pain, but Raven's choice means Apple might never get the poisoned apple, Prince Charming, and a kingdom to rule. Behind Apple stands the Royals, those who want to play by the book and embrace their stories. The Rebels, supporters of Raven, believe in breaking free from destiny and writing their own stories.

But when the chaos and rivalry land wonderlandiful Madeline Hatter in trouble, Raven and Apple must bring the Royals and the Rebels together to shut the book on their feud before it threatens to end all of their Happily Ever Afters once and for all.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...Who's the Unfairest of Them All?

The kids and I listened to this audio on the way to the Jersey Shore on the weekends, so it took some time to finish it but we absolutely loved it so much. Kathleen McInerney is a fantastic Narrator, she has so many awesome voices and you can always tell which person is talking. She is so fun.

After screwing up Legacy day Raven and Apple are feeling the backlash. Raven is so confused but doesn't want to change her mind and Apple is completely losing her mind trying to find ways to fix everyone story.

The books gives you a few new characters but all the ones you love are back again. Especially Maddy (the Mad Hatters Daughter) My daughter and I just love her and when she "talks" to the Narrator it always makes a laugh. This time Maddy may be in a little trouble and it totally has us so worried about her.

I adore this story so much and my daughter and I want to listen to the next one ASAP. I can't recommend this series enough. Shannon Hale writes an amazing story and Kathleen McInerney just makes it come alive.
