Lori Foster has been an autobuy for me for the last couple of years and while this book was ok it wasn't my favourite. It could be because this was more NA with Yvette being 23 and Cannon 26, but I think it has more to do with Yvette just being a little too wishy washy for me.
I have very high expectations when reading a Lori Foster book and this one just seemed a little too OTT drama for the sake of drama. Yvette has issues from the traumatic experience she survived and I could understand her having long-lasting problems that would affect future relationship. My problem was that the actual "issue" she suffered in her relationships was lame not having an orgasm during sex or foreplay is something a lot of women face until they mature enough to reach for and demand one. For her to not start a relationship because of it seemed a bit silly.
I was also not a huge fan of the way Cannon treated the women who were hitting on him in front of Yvette. I wouldn't want someone I was interested in kissing a girls cheek to let them down gentler.
Overall I liked some of the characters that were introduced but I was more interested in what was going on in the lives of the people from her previous books. Not sure if this will be a series for me. I will definitely keep a watch for more Lori Foster books, but maybe not this series.
