Now I know something about classical Greek and Roman myth, my primary degree is in History and Classical Civilizations so this is my baliwick, I admit I don't know as much about Native American mythology so I am in no place to comment about how the twists Sherrilyn Kenyon puts on it reflects them properly. Ren Waya came back from the dead to fight for redemption, he allowed himself to be posessed by Grizzly to get renown. He was killed by someone he cared for and he came back as Artemis' warrior. He doesn't understand love as it is something he has no experience of.
Kateri Avani lives in denial that anything that isn't scientific doesn't belong in her life, the strange dreams non-withstanding. She sees a man killing her over and over, when she meets Ren she realises that he is that man.
They have to race to stop time stopping, Ren has been told that the only way to do this is to kill Kateri, but he's feeling something he hasn't felt in his many many years.
It's an interesting story and I enjoyed the story and the end was touching. Now I want to know what's going to happen next with some of the characters involved.
