OK, let me start off by saying that I rarely/never read erotica, they're just not exactly my cup of tea. I love the steamy factor behind them, but they're not always my first choice. But after reading Take Me in the Night, I'll read just about every erotica that R.L. Kenderson will write! Count me in, ALWAYS for their erotic/steamy books! Not only was this erotica, but it had my favorite trope of all, a second chance! And that's initially what drew me into this book, I rarely ever say no to second chance romances.

What a lovely little sexy read this turned out to be. It was quick and steamy, but easily devourable. Just like what Maddox does to Addison, as soon as he comes barreling back into her life, constantly devouring her. A bit insane, but the authors did say that took quite a few liberties with their story. And I didn't mind one bit ;-)

Now that I think about it, I'd say it's a contemporary/erotica. Besides the steamy scenes, I really enjoyed the plot. Maddox and Addison fell in love when they were just teenagers, but with Maddox being from the other side of the tracks. Various events and misunderstandings led them astray for nearly 12 years. One of the reasons I love these stories because I'm always curious to know who was pulling their a**hole card to keep these two separated for so long. And one of my favorite parts is when they both learn the truths from their past and seeing them come together again.

I was completely hooked into this story and just waiting for all the truths to be revealed and things to unfold. But there was nothing better than finally seeing these two get their happy ever after without any interference.

This was my second read from this author duo and they have quickly become one of my favorites to read from! If you don't mind a sensual/contemporary read, give this one a try!
