Okay i gonna spend just a moment talking about that cover, isn't just stunning, it really sums up the essence of this novel and i think it just delightful.
Ok i loved this book it was so fun to read, the world that has been painted by the author is very easy to picture, i loved the concept of this daughter who was seen as nothing finally manifests with this strange talent and is suddenly an asset to her family. She is crushed to find that she is now faced with only two options for her life stay home with her parents or forced to marry who ever her farther chooses.
Miss Pembroke instead chooses to carve her own path, in a way that society and her family never expects. She discovers so much more about her self and this world is described very well, i actually could see the ships, and the other characters that display their own unique talents. Their were parts i was screaming and others i was rejoicing the book is very well done and i am excited to see their is more story to tell.
This is my first book from this author and i am intrigued to check out what else has been written by her.
