Peace is a priority for God, and therefore, it should be a priority for us as well. Indeed, we are instructed to seek peace with others. But in today's world, tranquility is hard to come by. If we don't have it ourselves, seeking it with others is an impossible task. How do we find peace? As Joyce Meyer explains, by submitting our will to God. When we follow our own desires, we forfeit serenity; but, by obeying God's guidance, we ensure ourselves peace-filled living. Maintaining peace is a choice. We are given the keys to a peaceful life, but must choose to live in and follow that peace. If we are not actively seeking God's will, we will walk in anxiety and dissension and ultimately become ineffective. For when we lose our compass, we lose our direction. In this book, Joyce Meyer discusses the pursuit of true peace--from how to be at peace with yourself and the importance of having peace with God to enjoying peaceful relationships, being led by peace, developing a peaceful attitude, and the paradox that peace equals power.
