I am happy I read this book, and finished the series, because it was good. I found the story very captivating, action packed, and filled with some good nail biting tension. I think where it fell short for me, was that there was not enough of Nicholas and Etta together. I feel like they maybe share about 10% if not less of page time together. It was those two, their love, their trust, their faith in each other, that I was so drawn to in the first book. We still have great characters and great interactions, but I yearned for more of those two together.
