I really tried with this book but I just can't. It feels like most of the plot pulls from already existing YA--namely Twilight. This in itself isn't that harsh of a criticism if you adhere to the belief that there are no truly original ideas anymore, but when it's as blatant as this it makes it hard to feel like you're experiencing something new.

And the editors I do not believe really took the care they should have in the copy. The amount of repetition in this book is unbearable. There were several sentences that would use the same adjective constantly throughout (example: "the earth-shattering noise shattered," etc.). Sorry guys. Not a fan at all.
