"Sometimes, you don't need to plan everything. Sometimes, you just need to let life lead you because, eventually, it will all work itself out."

Ryan and Carly both leave their jobs and lives behind to temporarily move into the Sunny Creek retirement community to take care of their parents who were injured in a suspicious "decoration removal" accident. Ryan and Carly did not expect that taking care of two elderly people would be a full-time job so they team up to help each other keep their parents out of trouble while they are healing. As they spent time together, they develop an attraction to each other that becomes as hard to resist as it is to keep their parents out of trouble.

If you are looking for a book that will have you laughing-out-loud until you are crying then look no further. I have not laughed as hard as I did reading this book in such a long time. Ryan and Carly start off on a bad foot when she steals his taxi but their attraction soon grows as they spend time together. The chemistry between them goes from cold to inferno very quickly. Between the feuds between the residence, the crazy antics Stella and Sal get into and Stella and her TikTok obsession, the Sunny Creek retirement community is not what it seems from the outside, lol. I highly recommend this book to everyone who needs a good laugh. I can not wait to see what comes next from Max Monroe.
