This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Lisa for letting me be part of this tour. I have been a fan of Melissa's work for a very long time now and I look forward to every new book. Luckily she is a writing machine so I never have to wait too long for the next story.

We met Sarah in the last Whiskey story, Driving Whiskey Wild. Sarah, her children and her brother were in a car accident and Bullet Whiskey helped to rescue them. At the hospital, she meets Bones for the first time. The chemistry was there between these two from that very moment but it took Sarah a lot longer to learn she could trust Dr Whiskey.

Sarah has had a hard life. She has been through things that no one should have to go through. She has come out the other side braver and stronger than she probably ever thought possible. I am in awe of her.

Dr Whiskey is one hell of a man. By day he is a highly respected oncologist. Bones knows exactly how to treat his patients and not just with medication but also by giving them the time they need to be heard. By night he's a member of the Dark Knights protecting the community and doing whatever needs be.

This story was one that really pulled on the heartstrings. I spent a lot of time fighting back the tears and failing miserably.

Melissa managed to draw me into her world and I really didn't want to leave. The Whiskey family, like all the families Melissa creates, is one full of love, laughter and happiness. While they may not have had the perfect life they are happy now and that is all that matters. I hear the next book is about Sarah's sister Josie and, while it's probably going to break me, I can't wait to hear her story.
