Forever Doon by Carey Corp, Lorie Langdon

Forever Doon (Doon, #4)

by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon

With the witch of Doon on the throne, Jamie believed dead, and Duncan and Mackenna trapped in Alloway, Veronica has no choice but to put her grief aside and prepare her remaining followers for the impending battle against the false queen and her forces. But while on a covert mission to steal a powerful elixir from the castle, Veronica discovers her true love may actually be alive, and fighting a battle of his own.

With the Brig o’ Doon destroyed and the portal fragmented, Doon’s forces are not only divided, but also isolated in different dimensions. With the help of a storyteller as ancient as the witch herself, Kenna and Duncan learn they must rebuild the bridge to have any chance of crossing back into Doon with their ragtag army. But when Mackenna insists on fighting as well, Duncan soon realizes the only way he can ensure her safety is to turn her into a cold-hearted killer.

For Vee, Jamie, Kenna, and Duncan, saving their kingdom while keeping their lives intact will take a miracle.

Forever Doon

Originally, I requested Forever Doon as a review book through the Book Look Bloggers network, but shortly thereafter I bought myself Kindle eBook copies of the entire Doon series by Carey Corp and Lorie Langdon. So, if you want a real disclaimer, there it is. I was gifted with an eBook sample, but I need to own this eBook series in my life to make sure they're available when my children are older and into a mature teen set to enjoy this adventure and journey as well.

I've said before that Doon is enchanting and still in the saga four books later Doon is an enchanting journey. If you enjoy the Shannara Chronicles or other fantasy novels, Doon may be just the right next read for you and I highly recommend reading the series in book order. It all starts with Doon.  The Doon series is a contemporary Christian Juvenile Fantasy series that steps into another world and it is all about fitting in and finding your place.

There have been four books in the Doon series, Forever Doon is the fourth and I do not want the saga to end. I'd gladly keep reading into the adventure of Mackenna, Veronica, Jamie, Duncan, the Doonians, and the Destined... It is a great book on its own but really needs to be read in sequence and series to understanding all the underlying plots and elements. I just need more!

The series of Doon is co-authored which gives it a flare to the personality and the characters, although I do not know exactly how they broke it up to write it I think they did a really nice job in the end. Overall the story is enchanting. Vivid descriptions and details to go with the amazing book cover image are through out as our duo is taken from the American state of Indiana to the Scottish countryside.
